I feel comfortable in the beautiful surroundings of Nuremberg.

Franconia, the land of beer

Buen Camino!

My name is Rosa, I am Spanish and I would like to give you this little tip and tell you what a beer hike is.... here we go!

In Germany, people have always loved to drink beer and hiking is also becoming more and more popular among young and old.

A beer hike is therefore perfect for wanderlusting beer lovers to experience German brewing culture and the beautiful landscape of forests, fields and meadows.

The tours are made for hikers who like to spend a whole day on foot and take a break in Franconian brewery pubs in between. Here, self-arranged hikes through Franconia are presented with route descriptions, information on the breweries, route pictures for easier orientation on site and the corresponding GPS data.

The routes are designed so that you can get there and back by public transport from Nuremberg.

A recommendable route could be the Fünf-Seidla-Steig® of about 18 km with about six hours of hiking with a stop at five different breweries: Along the way you meet people who share the hobby of hiking and are beer lovers, with whom you can chat and enjoy nature.

Here I leave a link where you can find detailed information about the different routes and starting points:

I hope you like it as much as I do! And as they say in my country when you do the Way of St. James: BUEN CAMINO!!! (Have a good walk!)
