The biggest festival by free admission

Every year in the summer the famous Bardentreffen - music festival takes place in Nuremberg. The biggest open-air festival, with free admission, draws musicians and an excited audience, from all over the world to Nuremberg.

For four days, the old town of Nuremberg turns into one big stage where many famous bands will be hosted. All the bands on stages, main squares and even the many street artists, make this event something unforgettable. Really special are the small bands and solo artists, playing their songs all over the streets of Nuremberg. 

Our Tip: Plan on visiting only one or two big bands out of the program. Besides that, stroll around the city and listen to the music. Often the atmosphere around the small artists is even better than at the main stages!
