The Neues Museum, a unique architectural concept

The Neues Museum is not only interesting as an art gallery, but also represents a unique architectural concept. The museum avoids rooms with sharp corners and instead features open corridors and walls that meet at different angles, creating a multidimensional perspective of the exhibits. Striking structures and color unify all elements into an abstract style.

The museum focuses on art history from the mid-20th century to the present. In contrast to the rest of the historic old town, visitors feel as if they are entering an abstract world. Unlike traditional ancient masterpieces, the Neues Museum is the ideal place for visitors who appreciate contrast.

For sustainability reasons, a beehive was installed on the rooftop of the Neues Museum, as on other official buildings in the city. For many years, Hotel VICTORIA maintained a cooperation with the beekeeper and supported this project. During summer, guests at Hotel VICTORIA could find this honey on the breakfast buffet and enjoy it on the La Terrazza terrace in good weather.

Unfortunately, the bees have now moved, and Hotel VICTORIA currently sources its honey from a beekeeper in the Nürnberger Land region.
