Schwabach: excursion and cultural town with a great history

Schwabach is my hometown. A small overseeable city, but with a great history and a special culture. Especially in summer, the city offers extraordinary idyllic places. Not even 15km away from Nuremberg, you can find a colorful mix of nature and town feeling. 

Especially in the summer months, the market place offers numerous opportunities to linger with a view of the beautiful fountain as well as the gold decorated roofs of the town hall. Schwabach is also known as the gold beating town. Gold leaf was struck here 500 years ago and still today. The beautiful seats at excellent ice cream parlors invite you to enjoy the sun.

The Schwabach city park is also an absolute showpiece. Regardless of whether you favor a walk or are looking for a quiet retreat, the city park offers many options. The park is perfect to spend time with your friends. Because this place offers a beautiful blooming panorama in spring and summer.

Once a year the citizen festival takes place in Schwabach. A variety of booths offer regional and European specialties. The many seats in the city center invite to sit down. This festival is often on a weekend in July.

Night owls will also be glad to be here, because on this weekend the party goes into the late night.
